Junior Proteas capped ahead of Windies tour─── 07:41 Tue, 07 Dec 2021
The latest crop of talent to emerge from Cricket South Africa’s development pipeline were officially handed their junior Proteas colours during the capping ceremony of the South Africa under-19 team on at Kingsmead in Durban.
The SA U19 class of 2021/22 will soon be departing for the Caribbean, where they will face the West Indies in a Youth One-Day International series before they take on the best players in their age group in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup taking place from 14 January - 05 February 2022.
The junior Proteas have been drawn in Group B alongside Ireland, India, and Uganda, with head coach Shukri Conrad’s side kicking off their tournament on Saturday, 15 January with a mouth-watering clash against the 2018 champions and 2020 runners up, India on
