Snyman and Swanepoel back for the Knights─── MORGAN PIEK 10:04 Tue, 19 Nov 2024
The Knights will see the return of the big-hitting Proteas batter Jacques Snyman for their CSA 4-Day series game against the Titans in Pretoria.
Snyman missed the first two rounds due to his national commitments at the recent Hong Kong Sixes, and he returns with form.
On the weekend, Snyman had an outstanding club game for Bobbies by scoring 114 off 80 balls, while he also took 7/28 with the ball. Aubrey Swanepoel is also set to return on Tuesday as he was also in Hong Kong with Snyman.
Snyman told OFM Sport that he cannot wait to get stuck in against the Titans. “I must say we’re back in the camp and it’s nice to be back,” said Snyman.
“It was nice to play a bit of club cricket again and give back to the guys in Bloem. It was nice to get a good knock-in as well, so yes, I’ll definitely take some confidence from that.
“Since I re-joined everybody is looking very, very good in the nets and there is a very good vibe going around. So yeah, definitely looking forward to the game against the Titans.”
Snyman added there are a lot of positives they can take from the draw against Dragons, and Lesego Senokwane’s 205 in the Knight’s first innings was special. “The game in Bloem was tough, and I do think Lesego Senokwane’s knock was unbelievable. It was a very special knock. I think it was difficult in the end to get a result. It was a very, very good wicket to bat one, but you’re taking nothing away.

“There are so many positives for us to dwell on and to take forward into the rest of the campaign. We are playing a great brand of cricket now, just to keep that going.”
The first ball in the match between the Titans and Knights at SuperSport Park is scheduled to be bowled at 10:00.
