Free State and Gauteng residents have been asked to help police ensure the safe return of the three police constables who went missing while travelling from Bloemfontein to their deployment area in Limpopo.
Consts. Linda Cebekhulu (24), Keamogetswe Buys (30), and Boipelo Senoge (20) were travelling in a white VW Polo sedan with registration number JCL 401 FS on Wednesday (23/4).
They were last spotted at an Engen garage near the Grasmere toll plaza on the N1 highway in southern Gauteng.
During a media briefing at the Park Road police station in Bloemfontein on Sunday (27/4), National Police Commissioner Gen. Fannie Masemola pledged support to the families of the missing constables and said: “We will always be with them.
“We call on the community to assist law enforcement; no piece of information is too small. These are our colleagues, our sons and daughters, and we must act as one in ensuring their safe return,” said the Police Minister’s spokesperson, Kamogelo Mogotsi.
“We have full confidence in the team set up by the national commissioner, and a reward of R350,000 is available for information that can lead to the whereabouts of our members and the whereabouts of those criminals who are behind their disappearance.”
OFM News previously reported that two of the missing constables are reportedly attached to the Free State crime intelligence unit and were on special duty in Limpopo. The youngest officer, Senoge, is based at the Park Road police station and serves in the community service centre.

A high-level team comprising detectives and crime intelligence officers from both Gauteng and the Free State provinces has been mobilised to assist in the search operation, and a 24-hour venue operational centre has also been established to coordinate search efforts.
“We have pulled maximum resources together to find the young police officers safe, unharmed, and alive, and this remains our key focus. Our second focus is to find those who are behind the disappearance of these members,” said Masemola.
“We are following all the leads, including the vehicle that is doing the rounds on social media, which was parked next to them at the filling station. We have processed that information, and we are not looking narrowly at that, but our investigation is quite broad.”
Anyone with information is requested to contact the investigating officer, Capt. Chaacha Manga, on 082 527 6099.
UPDATE:
Police have found bodies they believe belong to three officers who went missing last week while travelling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo.
Three bodies were found on the Hennops River in Centurion along the N1 on Tuesday (29/4). “We have three bodies so far, whose identities are yet to be confirmed. We are searching for another body and for any other evidence that will assist us in concluding the case of the missing police officers,” said national police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe. “We request the necessary space and sensitivity around this matter. The National Police Commissioner, Gen. Fannie Masemola will provide an update later on.”
