“The post-mortem will determine the cause of her death.”
A four-year-old girl from Selosesha, Thaba Nchu, was found dead behind the toilet at her mother’s house on Wednesday (11/10). A neighbour found her this morning at 06:15.
The girl asked her mother to use the outside toilet on Tuesday (10/10) at around 17:15.
After a while, the 25-year-old mother went to look for her. As she had been gone a long time.
“Selosesha police were called to the scene and a search party was launched and community members joined in looking for her,” said police spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli.

A missing person's file was registered on the same night.
“An inquest was opened for further investigation as no visible injuries were found on the child and a postmortem will determine the cause of her death,” said Kareli.
Police are pleading with anyone who might have information to contact the police.
