The family of a 63-year-old North West man who went missing at least 37 days ago has made a passionate plea for his safe return.
The son of Abius Ranthuteng Matlou from Madikwe near Sun City has pleaded on Facebook to anyone who might know of the whereabouts of his missing father to help locate him.
Keabetswe Matlou wrote on his timeline his father was last seen on Sunday evening (20/8) at the St John Church in Motlollo, around the Obakeng village. Matlou has been missing since – for a month and a couple of days.
"Your assistance will be highly appreciated," he said.
Meanwhile, the police in Madikwe have also requested the community to assist in locating Matlou. Police spokesperson Aafje Botma said a search was conducted around the Mokgalwaneng Village where he stays, without success.
"At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a check suit with a purple shirt and black shoes. He is dark in complexion, brown eyes, with a slender built body.
“Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts can contact the Investigating Officer, Capt. Hempie Meno of Madikwe Detectives, on the following number: 082-569-9303 , your local police station or Crime Stop on 08600-10111. Anonymous tip-offs can also be communicated via the MySAPS App from your smart phone,” Botma said.
