Police in search of Kestell farm attackers─── BAMBATHA GIKO 15:06 Thu, 09 Feb 2023
Free State police are in search of six suspects involved in an attack on the Modderfontein farm at Kestell, 25km from Bethlehem, on Thursday morning 9 February 2023.
Suzaan, the daughter of Maryna Cordier, and a farm worker were overpowered and tied up by a group of six suspects on the farm in the Eastern Free State and were robbed of firearms, laptops, cell phones and other items. It's alleged that Maryna was also assaulted during the robbery.
Police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring said the suspects attempted to steal the victim's vehicle, but abandoned it on the farm. The suspects fled the scene in a white bakkie. No arrests have been as of yet and the case is still under investigation.
