Certain Bloemfonteiners' taps have been dry for the past three days.
Residents were notified on Thursday (February 2) of planned water cuts due to high turbidity at the Welbedacht Dam.
The metro's Qondile Khedama says that according to Bloem Water, the areas still affected by water cuts include Bainsvlei, Bayswater, Gardeniapark, Fauna, Fleurdal, Heuwelsig, Langenhovenpark, Pellisier, Pentagonpark, Spitkop, Universitas, Westdene, Wilgehof and other surrounding areas.
Khedama has since apologised for the inconvenience and said they will keep residents informed of any progress.

On Thursday morning, a statement was issued, informning residents that the northern suburbs of Bloemfontein would start receiving water during the day, as Centlec has managed to repair the 33kVA line.
Later that day the metro issued a statement about the water cuts in the city.
