Residents of Steynsrus in the Moqhaka Local Municipality in the Free State will experience power cuts on Friday, 30 December 2022.
The power cuts are scheduled to take place from 9:00 until 18:00.
Municipal spokesperson, Dika Kheswa, says the disruption of electricity supply is due to urgent maintenance and repairs that the municipality has to perform to its electrical infrastructure.
Kheswa cautioned consumers to treat powerpoints as live and dangerous at all times, even though the power might be off because the electricity supply may be restored without prior warning during the mentioned period.
He further urged consumers to unplug electrical appliances from wall sockets until the electricity supply has been restored to avoid damage.
