The North West Education Department has revealed funeral details of the five Vyfhoek primary school learners who passed away last week in a tragic accident.
A mini truck went straight through the school fence after its tyre burst and plunged into them. The accident claimed the lives of five learners, while four others were taken to hospital.
North West Education spokesperson, Elias Malindi, previously stated that one of the four learners has been discharged from the hospital last week Friday, while the other three remained in hospital.

Malindi stated that there will be a joint funeral for the Serwalo, Motsemme and Mashai families in the Ikageng Stadium, in Potchefstroom, while the funeral for the Thekiso family will take place in the NICC Church in the Ikageng township, and the funeral for the Lewane family will be held at their home in the Ikageng township. He says all funerals will start at 07:00 and move to the cemetery at 10:00.
According to Malindi, a joint burial for all five learners will take place at the Heroes Acre in Potchefstroom.
