Moqhaka weighs in on services amidst rising #Covid19 cases─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 12:10 Fri, 03 Sep 2021

The Free State’s Moqhaka Local Municipality vows to improve its service delivery and job creation initiatives.
This, as the municipality serving the community of Viljoenskroon and Kroonstad, among others, has embarked on a waste management programme with the Provincial Agriculture and Rural Development Department.
Spokesperson Dika Kheswa tells OFM News refuse removal and eradication of illegal dumping sites is paramount as the country continues to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kheswa’s statement comes as the Free State is now ranked among the top three provinces with active Covid-19 cases at 15 927, following KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape. He confirms the rising numbers of positive cases is a great concern with the municipality also handing-over Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to communities.
The municipality has in the past made news over a lack of water supply. Kheswa, however, tells OFM News they are attending to their service delivery issues, including the provision of water and consistent waste removal.
