Six arrested following NW cash-in-transit robbery─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 12:50 Thu, 15 Jul 2021

The Hawks in the North West confirms six suspects aged between 37 and 53 have been arrested following a cash-in-transit robbery.
Spokesperson Tlangelani Rikhotso says the suspects were arrested at a house in Neserhof after an intensive manhunt.
The robbery happened on Wednesday when a vehicle suddenly bumped into a G4S vehicle that was travelling on Tirisano Road. She says the security vehicle was abruptly stopped with security guards forced out of the vehicle by gunmen with rifles. Rikhotso says they allegedly disarmed and instructed them to lie on the ground then blew-up the safe and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
They were later found at the house in Neserhof in possession of an AK47, R5, LM5 and one of the 9mm pistols taken from the guards. Rikhotso adds three vehicles with false registration plates were found at the house and an undisclosed amount of money was also recovered. The suspects will make their first appearance before the Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
They will face charges of aggravated robbery, possession of explosives, possession of suspected stolen money and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
