Prosecutor Johan de Vries told Magistrate Ryan Ishmail they would not oppose her bail application but wanted certain conditions imposed on her. De Vries further told Ishmail that the state wanted her to be granted bail of R10 000, she does not return to the office where she served in the VIP Protection Unit, and also that she should hand over her passport if she has one. 

Her legal representative, however, requested Ishmail to lower the bail amount to R5000, citing Job's financial constraints. 

Ishmail postponed the matter to 18 November 2019 and released her on R5000 bail with conditions as required by De Vries. He said he accepted Job's plea to the court that she is broke and her family members will be helping with raising the bail amount.

Job stand accused of accepting R30 000 as a bribe for stolen VIP protection unit firearms, and attempting to sell them to allegedly settle her debts. She was arrested on Tuesday 8 October, when she was busted by the Hawks and Crime Intelligence during a joint operation. 

Hawks spokesperson, Lynda Steyn, previously told OFM News that information emerged that Job allegedly conspired to steal firearms from her unit. Steyn further said an operation was activated immediately where the accused met up with "robbers" and handed them her state firearm to commit a robbery. On 10 October she made a brief court appearance. Job was allegedly paid R30 000 for her efforts which, on receipt, led to her downfall. All the stolen firearms were seized, including her pistol, her vehicle and cell phone.
