23 people injured in Potchefstroom collision─── SAZLY HARTZENBERG 15:00 Tue, 15 Jan 2019
A taxi, minibus and a light motor vehicle collided on the R501, just outside Potchefstroom, in the North West.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, told OFM News that a total of 23 people were left injured. Meiring explained that when the paramedics, and other emergency services, arrived on the scene they found two elderly patients lying inside the light motor vehicle. The other passengers that were on the scene had injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
“The patients were treated for their injuries and the two elderly people, who were critically injured, were provided with advanced life-support interventions. The patients were transported to various hospitals in the Potchefstroom area. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring said.
