Vereeniging - A serious collision on the R59 between Sasolburg and Vereeniging has claimed the lives of four people.
This is according to Metsimaholo Local Municipality spokesperson Gino Alberts.
He told OFM News that multiple vehicles were involved in the accident, including three trucks, two minibus taxis, and nine sedans.
Various parties were also left injured.
ER24 reports that a veld fire caused the road to be covered in smoke, minimizing visibility and allegedly causing the collision. They transported three patients, one being critical, to Mediclinic Emfuleni for further treatment.
