The South African Football Association has acted swiftly in barring Bafana Bafana midfielder, May Mahlangu, from future selection for the national team.
This comes after the player yesterday withdrew himself from the national team to face Sudan on Saturday in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tie in Durban.
The players cited fatigue as the reason for his withdrawal.
Mahlangu’s withdrawal left coach Shakes Mashaba fuming had he said he would also not select the player for future matches.
Bafana Bafana face Sudan at the Moses Mahbidha Stadium on Saturday afternoon at three o’clock, and a win will be enough for South African to qualify for the 2015 AFCON.
