Bloemfontein - The Premier Soccer League confirmed today that South Africa has been allocated a further two spots in the Confederation of African Football's continental competitions.
South Africa will now have two participants in both the CAF Champions League, as well as the CAF Confederations Cup, having previously only had one in each.
In past years, the PSL champions qualified for the Champions League, while the winners of the Nedbank Cup qualified for the Confederations Cup.
PSL winners, Mamelodi Sundowns will get the first spot in the CAF Champions League, while runners-up, Kaizer Chiefs will get the second.
Meanwhile, Nedbank Cup champions Orlando Pirates, together with runners-up Wits, qualfiy to take part in the Confederations Cup.
All four clubs have been asked by CAF to confirm their participation.
