Tender for Bloemfontein's Revolving Restaurant expected to be issued this week─── THANDI XABA 07:46 Wed, 18 Mar 2015
Bloemfontein - The Department of Public Works says tender applications for Bloemfontein's iconic Revolving Restaurant have not yet been issued as it is in the process of completing the lift system.
Renovations to the restaurant, which sits atop the CR Swart building and closed its doors in the nineties, were completed in December last year.
Spokesperson Winkie Direko says the department is awaiting results from a property valuation to determine the estimated market rental rate, before issuing the tender. She says currently plans are underway to have the tender advertised by Friday.
The department says once the administrative processes are complete the restaurant will become operational.
