Six killed in Carletonville crash─── 17:57 Mon, 16 Mar 2015
Carletonville - A head-on collision this afternoon, between a taxi and bakkie on the N14 near Carletonville has left six dead and ten others injured.
ER24's Russel Meiring says they arrived on scene to find both wrecked vehicles lying in the middle of the road.
The bakkie appeared to be ripped in half.
Among the dead was a child.
Three critically injured passengers were airlifted to Tshepong Hospital in Klerksdorp for further treatment. The remaining passengers were treated for their injuries at the scene and thereafter transported to various hospitals for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities are on scene.
