Kimberley - Kimberley’s famous tram returned to service on Monday after the municipality had to shut it down in September due to none-compliance of national railway regulations.
Sol Plaatje municipal spokesperson, Sello Matsie says the tram is of historical importance to the city and visitors enjoy taking a trip down memory lane on it.
He says the municipality was excited to receive its compliance certificate from the regulator earlier in the month.
