Grootvlei inmate voting 'to see better SA'─── 15:48 Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Bloemfontein - The voting registration at the Grootvlei Correctional Facility in Bloemfontein has seen far less inmates participating today than yesterday.
By midday, only two inmates had registered, in comparison to the 66 that came through yesterday. 33-year-old Mandla Nqabisile says it is important for inmates to vote, because the elected party will make decisions that will affect them too.
Inmates have until tomorrow to register.
Meanwhile Nicro has welcomed the idea of inmates being allowed to vote. They say imprisonment does not denote their loss of citizenship, neither their political or human rights.
