The 2025 Junior National Tennis Championship is set to take place in a rainy Bloemfontein this week, with 500 of the country’s top young players in action.
As the premier event in South African junior tennis, the tournament will showcase intense competition across four age categories – Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 – for both girls and boys, all competing for national honours.

Matches will be played at six venues across the city, which include the Free State Tennis Stadium, the University of the Free State, Grey College, Eunice, and Oranje Meisieskool, as well as at the Oud Studente Sports Club and the Mundene Tennis Club.
General Manager of Tennis South Africa, Anthony Moruthane, expressed his enthusiasm about hosting the prestigious event in Bloemfontein yet again.
“We are thrilled to bring the Junior National Championships back to Bloemfontein, a region with a proud tennis heritage that has hosted this event for over two decades,” said Moruthane.
