“100% and like coach John Dobson always says, that belonging and just the energy you get from all the youngsters leads to the enjoyment factor.”

The Stormers loosehead prop, Brok Harris, will reach an incredible milestone on Friday evening when they tackle the Cardiff Blues in Wales in their final United Rugby Championship game on tour.

The alumnus of the North West University will be playing in his 400th game at senior level, and this is almost unheard of for a front rower.

It is somewhat fitting that Harris gets to play his 400th game in Wales as he played in 143 games for the Dragons in Newport.

The 38-year-old Harris has been named as the captain as well for the crunch game and he told OFM Sport that his love for playing is a big driving factor.

“100% and like coach John Dobson always says, that belonging and just the energy you get from all the youngsters leads to the enjoyment factor,” said Harris who still enjoys trying to break the line off the flyhalf from time to time.

“It's still a massive part of it here and every time you put on that Stormers jersey you still need to enjoy it.

“If you don't enjoy it anymore then obviously it's time to call it.”

Harris added that he never though he would play in 100 games, let along playing his 400th, and to be able to captain the team will make it even more special.

“I'm very privileged, when I moved back, I never thought I'd reach a hundred caps for the Stormers," said Harris.

“I did that and now I've gone to 400 and I can't wait for the opportunity to captain the side because it'll make it even more special, but it's not about me, it's about performing.

“We've got a job to do and I'm looking forward to it.”

Friday night’s game between Cardiff and the Stormers at Arms Park kicks off at 21:35.

Stormers - 15 Clayton Blommetjies, 14 Courtnall Skosan, 13 Ruhan Nel, 12 Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, 11 Ben Loader, 10 Jean-Luc du Plessis, 9 Stefan Ungerer, 8 Marcel Theunissen, 7 Willie Engelbrecht, 6 Nama Xaba, 5 Ruben van Heerden, 4 Adre Smith, 3 Lee-Marvin Mazibuko, 2 Andre-Hugo Venter, 1 Brok Harris (captain).
