The Bloemfontein born-and-bred Reinach has been named on the bench for the crunch match after having recovered from an injury he picked up while playing for his French Top14 club, Montpellier.

The World Cup-winner will serve as back-up to Jaden Hendrikse, with Faf de Klerk being dropped.

Reinach said he is confident of his fitness levels.

“If you look at the way we train I don’t think anyone is coming in cold,” said Reinach as South Africa prepare for the Rugby Championship showdown.

“We go full on at training, as we train the way we want to play. I have also been part of the squad from the beginning of the season, so even though I haven’t played in months I’m excited to get onto the park and play.

“It is really nice to be back, I’m so excited to get onto the field I can’t sleep at night.”

Saturday’s Test at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney kicks off at 11:35.
