The winger, Daniel Kasende, returns from injury and will start on the right winger, while the Springbok, Rosko Specman, moves to the left wing.

Kasende replaces Enver Brandt, who in his turn has been ruled out for up to two months with a groin injury.

On the bench, Marnus van der Merwe and Cohen Jasper return to provide cover.

The Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport there are areas they need to improve on.

“We just finished a session now and it was pretty sweaty and slippery. It did help us with our preparations, but in Nelspruit and Durban it's always worse when it's hot.

“We will have to adapt and keep things a little bit simpler.

“We will assess the situation as it goes one through the 80-minutes and hopefully we make good decisions and we are accurate with ball in hand.”

The Cheetahs captain, Ruan Pienaar, added that the humidity in Bloemfontein of late has help them a little in their preparations.

“The two main areas we focussed on was the discipline and execution. Against the Bulls we conceded 13 penalties. Six of them were soft and unnecessary and could have been prevented.

“With the execution we made a lot of mistakes. We conceded 17 turnovers in that game. That was the main focus and with the prep we tried to prepare for the humidity in Nelspruit.”

Saturday’s game at the Mbombela Stadium kicks off at 14:30.
