The Toyota Cheetahs have named an unchanged starting XV for Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 clash against Ulster in Bloemfontein.

The only change to the match 23 in on the bench where the Grey College old boy, Neethling Fouché, is on debut for the team.

Fouché, who is on loan from Western Province, replacements Luan de Bruin as cover at tighthead prop.

The Cheetahs will want to continue their good form after beating the Glasgow Warriors 48-14 last week in round one.

The Cheetahs interim coach, Franco Smith, agrees that while they nearly put 50-points on the board against Glasgow last week, there were points left on the park, and converting those scoring opportunities will be a key focus area for the team.

“I think that we did finish some very good plays. Some of those tries that we scored we wouldn’t have scored earlier in the season.

“I agree, we create so many opportunities. It would be great if we can convert every opportunity, and maybe that day is still coming.

“There were definitely points out there that we could have scored and that is also some that we discussed as a team.

“For me the main thing is that we must understand that we do create a lot of scoring opportunities, as was the case in the previous years. As soon as the players understand that the system creates the opportunities, we must just work harder in converting them into points.

“It is not about the “what” anymore, but about the “how”, and that is the direction the teams growth has moved towards now.

“We all understand what we want to do, and it is the “how” that is going to become more and more important from now on.”

Saturday’s PRO14 clash between the Toyota Cheetahs and Ulster at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein kicks off at 18:15.
