Boks Rugby Championship test begins─── ADRIAN BOTHA 09:18 Fri, 17 Aug 2018
Following weeks of preparation, the Springboks are a mere day away from putting their training into action in their opening match of the Rugby Championship against Argentina.
Bok coach Rassie Erasmus announced his side to face Los Pumas on Thursday re-iterating the intention to find the balance between a winning side and a side that can build to the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Speaking to the media in Durban, loose forward Francois Louw echoed his coach's sentiments saying that every player knows what his role is and what they are building to.
"We all have purpose in the side and ultimately the focus is on building a squad that can take us to the world cup."
"From a leadership perspective, there are actually a lot more leaders in the side than people realize, ultimately we want to create a leadership culture," Louw said.
New Zealand and Australia kick the Championship off in Sydney on Saturday morning before the Boks and Argentina clash at 17:00 on Saturday in Durban.
