Bloemfontein – 6 November: Reinardt Janse van Rensburg from multi discipline continental race team, Team MTN Qhubeka is the winner of the eleventh edition of MTN OFM Classic which took place yesterday, 6 November 2011 in Bloemfontein. Janse van Rensburg, who came third in the 2010 MTN OFM Classic, won the 99 km road race with a winning time of 2:13:03.

Top Club Continental Bonitas Team member Hanco Kachelhoffer crossed the finish line second while Top Club Tasal Solar – GT Team member, David Maree came in third place.
The ladies 99 km event was won by Ashleigh Moolman from the Top Club Nashua Toyota team with a winning time of 2:43:36. Close on her heels were Cherise Taylor from team Top Club (W) USN and Isabel Moolman from team Top Club Durban Cyclelab (W).

Perceived as one of the best organized and safest races in South African cycling, the MTN OFM Classic provided a diverse route to the cyclists. The route consisted of flat sections, a stretch in the suburbs of the city, with surprising up-hills even on the extended N1 part of the race. To celebrate its eleventh birthday, the race boasted R162 000 in cash and prizes.

The third MTN OFM Mountain bike race was presented at the Windmill Casino on Saturday, 5 November where David O’Brian and Wilmerie Jacobs won the Men’s and Ladies categories respectively.
