The Olympic dreams of the South African gymnast, Caitlin Rooskrantz, appear to be over after sustaining an injury in Paris.
On Sunday, the two-time Olympian was forced to withdraw from the all-round competition after sustaining an injury to her right foot.

The South African flag bearer at the Olympics was a major medal hope for the country in Paris and this comes as a severe blow. She sustained the injury during the floor exercise on Sunday. She was rushed off for medical treatment and an MRI scan was scheduled for later in the day.
Once the results are in, Team SA will indicate the severity of the injury and then a decision will be taken on her further participation at the Games.
