On Thursday, South Africa retained their unbeaten status by beating Zimbabwe 1-0 to secure the Junior Africa Cup title.
For her efforts on the astro, Augousti was named the player of the tournament.
Last year, while still in grade 11, Augousti made her international debut for the senior national women's team and since then has become a regular in the Proteas squads.
Kayla Swarts, the younger sister of the 400m world champion, Wayde van Niekerk, was also a part of the SA U21 playing in the Land of the Pharaohs.
The junior men, in their turn, beat Egypt in the final to be crowned champions as well.
Both teams have qualified for the FIH Junior Hockey World Cup, with the men's event taking place in Malaysia, while the women's tournament will be played in Chile later in the year.
