New York - The world's tallest sandwich has been created in New York City, a mustard and salami construction involving 60 pieces of bread.
DPA reports that Texan Irwin Adam managed to reach the mark of 60 slices, before missing out on his goal of an 80-slice sandwich.
The sandwich needed to stand for one minute without toppling in order to break the record.
The food used in the record-making attempt was given to people in need in the US city.
