NC ANC will continue to support John Block─── 22:23 Tue, 20 Nov 2018
The ANC in the Northern Cape said it would continue to offer its support to former ANC provincial chairperson, John Block, after the Constitutional Court on Monday dismissed his application for leave to appeal.
Both Block and the CEO of Trifecta Holdings, Christo Scholtz, were denied leave to appeal to the Constitutional Court against their conviction and sentencing.
They were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment on charges of corruption and money laundering, relating to leases that were concluded for government offices, with the Trifecta group of companies.
The Constitutional Court stated that both applications had "little prospect of success".
