#Gupta case to be heard in Bloemfontein High Court─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 08:42 Thu, 17 May 2018
The Gupta family’s case to have their multimillion-rand assets unfrozen will once again be heard in the Bloemfontein High Court today.
The assets, which include among others over 40 properties, two aircraft, a helicopter and a fleet of luxury cars, were seized by the National Director of Public Prosecutions and the National Prosecuting Authority in connection with the Vrede Diary Project in Free State.
NPA’s Free State spokesperson, Phaladi Shuping, previously told OFM News they believe the funds intended for the dairy farm were laundered and placed into the Bank of Baroda account linked to the Gupta family. Today’s court proceeding comes amid Ajay Gupta’s allegations that the media in South Africa has an agenda. He says the media houses in the country needs to explain what criminal charges he faces.
