Matjhabeng Municipality to roll out poverty alleviation projects─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 14:30 Wed, 08 Nov 2017
Premier Ace Magashule’s visit to the Matjhabeng Municipality today will see more poverty alleviation projects being rolled out.
This is according to the Executive Mayor of the Municipality, Nkosinjani Speelman. Speelman confirms that the municipality is plagued by service delivery issues and the Premier’s visit will assist in that regard and will also monitor progress on projects that were due to be completed. He says these include the multimillion-rand multi-purpose stadium, the provision of houses, and bursaries. Speelman says, as one of the municipalities battling with revenue collection, they are hopeful that they will soon overcome their challenges. He says there are plans underway to roll out more projects to develop the municipality’s economy.
Speelman could, however, not outline the timeframe as to when projects such as the planned airport, racetracks and the multipurpose center will be fully functional.
