If a visit to Namaqualand in bloom is on your bucket list for this year, you might have to postpone your plans for some weeks.
With winter rains that were delayed, the Northern Cape Tourism Authority says it is anticipated that the flower season will start late and run until late next month.
Very early blooms can, however, be seen at the Namaqua National Park.
There is thus still time to make last minute plans to experience the spectacular beauty of the wildflowers up close.
