Minister of Women in the Presidency, Susan Shabangu says more needs to be done to resolve the scourge of women being killed by their intimate partners.
She said this at the National Women's Day event held in Kimberley, today.
Human trafficking and gender-based violence are some of the pressing issues that will come under the spotlight during the event.
The National Human Trafficking Resources Line will today also launch a series of initiatives in the province aimed at reducing the increasing number of Women and children who fall prey to human trafficking.
Police spokesperson, Mohale Ramatseba also said that they will have a zero tolerance for any criminal activity at the National Women's Day celebration in the Northern Cape
