NCOP visits Free State─── 12:49 Tue, 16 May 2017
Bloemfontein - The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) is visiting the Free State this week in order to find out what challenges are affecting different municipalities.
This is part of their Taking Parliament to the People programme which mainly focuses on health issues. According to the NCOP Chairperson, Thandi Modise, they expect to hear about various problems, not just those related to health.
“So our focus is to take services to the people who will probably never in their lifetime see parliament. We say ‘we are here, talk to us about anything’. We have come here very open-mindedly, as parliament, to listen,” explains Modise.
