Ladybrand - The Ladybrand Magistrate's Court postponed the fraud and corruption case against a group of South African border officials and several civilians on Friday.
Hawks spokesperson Philani Nkwalase says the matter will return to court on 23 March 2017.
This follows after one of the accused's lawyers had died during December 2016. The court will allow the relevant accused to get a new attorney that needs to prepare for the case.
The Hawks arrested a group of twenty home affairs officials and six members of the public during a raid at the Maseru border post.
They face charges of allegedly conspiring to illegally issue documents to Lesotho citizens, who have exceeded their time in South Africa, in exchange for money.
The court set strong parole conditions earlier before granting them bail.
