Two critical, another two seriously injured in N12 collision, Potchefstroom─── 11:19 Thu, 26 Jan 2017
Potchefstroom - Four people were injured when two vehicles collided on the N12 between Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp last night.
ER24 paramedics and several other EMS services arrived on the scene shortly after 6pm where they found one of the vehicles several meters into the veld. Four people were ejected from the vehicle.
Two people were found in a critical condition. One person was placed on life support and rushed to Potchefstroom Provincial Hospital, while paramedics were busy stabilising the other patients.
Three patients were treated for various injuries on the scene and later transported to the same hospital.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision is not yet known. It is understood that a bakkie was also involved in the collision. However, no one sustained any injuries in the vehicle.
Local authorities attended the scene.
