Man arrested for possession of dagga at Nakop Border Post─── 15:46 Tue, 20 Sep 2016
Upington - A 46-year-old man has been arrested for dagga at the Nakop Border post.
Northern Cape Police say yesterday morning at around 11:00 the driver of a truck, exporting toilet paper from South Africa to Namibia, was arrested for dealing in dagga. Police searched one of the toolboxes inside the truck and found 78kg of dagga stashed inside.
The dagga has an estimated street value of almost R400 000 and was confiscated together with a cell phone and the truck.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Upington Magistrate's Court soon. The investigation continues.
