Bloemfontein - A Bloemfontein woman from Fauna, who allegedly killed her boyfriend by stabbing him 13 times with a knife last Thursday evening, is still recovering in a local hospital under police guard.
Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, says the 36-year-old woman cannot be named as she has not appeared in court yet.
Marope says the middle-aged man, whose name will not be released to the media on request of his family, and the woman had an argument.
He then allegedly stabbed his girlfriend three times with a knife, after which she attacked him.
Marope says the injured woman called the police, who found her boyfriend in a puddle of blood in the kitchen of the house in Fauna. He was declared dead on the scene.
