Ledig school set alight─── DANE BEISHEIM 16:18 Fri, 27 May 2016
Rustenburg - The Speaker of Moses Kotane Local Municipality near Sun City in North West, Ralesole Diale, has called on the community of Ledig to protect schools and community property.
This after the Itumeleng Secondary School in Ledig village was set alight in the early hours of this morning. Furniture, an office and the staff room were partly burnt, while the mobile class for technology was completely destroyed.
This latest incident follows shortly after residents of Vuwani in Limpopo went on rampage and burned down more than 20 schools in that area.
Municipal spokesperson, Beauty Makganye, says learners had to be dismissed from school for safety reasons.
The cost of the damage has not yet been determined.
