Several areas in Kimberley will be without electricity next week, due to maintenance work. See below to see if you will be affected.
Residents and businesses are kindly notified in advance of a temporary electricity supply interruption for the area of the City Centre, Hadison Park, South Ridge, Kim Industry, Kimberley North, Herlear, including mostly suburban areas, from Monday 18th April 2016 until Friday, the 22nd April 2016 from 08:00 to 17h00.
This is to enable our electrical department to conduct maintenance on our circuit breakers. The interruption will be area-based and will last about 10 minutes at the most per area.
There is a total of about 28 switches and about five will be done per day. This interruption will affect businesses, schools and residents in the form of ward-based areas of the town. The municipality would like to apologise for the inconvenience to all those that will be affected. We would like to warn residents that at all times, to treat the electricity appliances as “live” because electrical supply can be switched back at any time.
