FS Sadtu say they are supporting staff at Maluti TVET─── REFILWE GAESWE 07:47 Sat, 09 Apr 2016
Phuthaditjhaba - The South African Democratic Teachers Union (Sadtu) in the Free State has rubbished allegations that they are not supporting their members at the Maluti TVET College in Phuthaditjhaba, Qwaqwa.
This follows allegations from disgruntled employees who marched against the principal this week.
Students also handed over a memorandum of grievances to the Department of Higher Education and Training. Sadtu’s provincial secretary, Mokholoane Moloi, says the allegations are unfounded.
"Unfortunately, the very same person has written to the Sadtu's national as well as provincial office, raising some allegations about the leaders of the organisation. If he was really a member of Sadtu, he would know the procedures and protocol of the union, where issues are taken to the site executive committee and to the branches. Even his letters that he has written to the national and provincial offices do not include the alleged grievances."
