Three killed, two injured in Bloemfontein shooting─── 08:36 Sun, 22 Nov 2015
Bloemfontein - Three people were killed and two injured during a shooting at the mini-market in Rocklands, Bloemfontein last night.
Free State police spokesperson, Peter Kareli says a group of friends were sitting at the mini-market at around 20:30 when two unknown men emerged from a taxi and started shooting randomly at them.
Kagisanong police were contacted and rushed to the scene. Kareli says on arrival police found five people with gunshot wounds to the head and upper body. Three men aged between 30 and 35 died at the scene and two others were rushed to Pelonomi Hospital in a serious condition. One of the deceased was found with a 9mm pistol in his hand with six live rounds.
The motive for the attack is not yet known and no one has been arrested. Kagisanong police are investigating three cases of murder and two of attempted murder.
