Leeudoringstad - The extent of damages caused by a fire at the North West Secondary School for the Deaf in Leeudoringstad can only be determined once police have finished their forensic investigation.
The fire, which broke out in the early hours of Monday morning, claimed the lives of three learners.
North West Education MEC, Wendy Matsemela, told OFM News that the learners will be housed at other schools' hostels in the area until at least December.
A memorial service for Katlego Diseko (16), Bulelwa Koni (18) and Emily Oageng (22) will be held at Laerskool Leeudoringstad in Maquassi Hills on Friday.
Diseko and Koni will be laid to rest at their respective homes in Ikopeleng village in Mahikeng and Extension 24, Jouberton in Klerksdorp on Saturday. Oageng will be buried at Campden, Kuruman on Sunday.
