Two killed, nine injured in Virginia accident─── 10:11 Fri, 05 Jun 2015
Virginia - Two men were killed and nine others were injured in an accident along Jan Hofmeyer road between Welkom and Virginia (R73) in the Free State at around 05h00 this morning.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles.
After triaging the injured patients, paramedics found that two men had died before their arrival due to the extensive injuries that they sustained, one person was critically injured while eight others sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
