Floyd Shivambu is rubbishing reports that he used his influence to get a home loan from VBS Mutual Bank.
The Daily Maverick says leaked emails show his brother Brian received R1.46 million after the EFF deputy president held talks with VBS chair Tshifhiwa Matodzi.
He's calling the online publication's story a desperate act for relevance.
It's reporting the home loan is registered to Sgameka Trading, a company Brian Shivambu apparently owns.
VBS collapsed after nearly R2 billion was looted from the bank.
