The National Prosecuting Authority said justice has prevailed after Port Elizabeth High Court judge, Dylan Chetty, found Christopher Panayiotou and his two co-accused guilty of his wife's abduction and murder.
Chetty's final verdict came through just after 3pm, several hours after he began his much-anticipated judgment at 9.30 this morning.
Panayiotou, Sinetemba Nenembe and Zolani Sibeko were convicted on all charges that included murder, conspiracy to commit murder and aggravated assault for the 2015 murder of his schoolteacher wife, Jayde.
Panayiotou was also convicted on a charge of defeating the ends of justice,
Speaking to the media afterwards, NPA Eastern Cape spokesperson, Tsepo Ndwalaza, says it's been a long and bumpy road.
