Film star Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed that he was almost attacked by a great white shark in 2006. The Great Gatsby star appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show yesterday.
Speaking to the talk show host about a recent auction for his foundation, which seeks to protect endangered wildlife habitat, DiCaprio said he had a huge fear of sharks.
He said a 'gigantic' great white shark got stuck in a cage with him when he was filming Blood Diamond in South Africa and Mozambique in 2006.
DiCaprio said the organisation which took him on the excursion said it was the first time such an incident occurred in 30 years.
