Dean Burmester has climbed a further four places in the Official World Golf Rankings following a third top 10 finish on the European Tour in three weeks.
Over the weekend the former Bloemfontein professional finished on 11-under-par for a share of sixth at the British Masters at the Belfry in Sutton Cold Field.
Burmester’s latest move in the rankings is to 89th in the world ahead of this week's PGA Championship at Kiawah Island in South Carolina.
Burmester and ten other South Africans will be teeing it up from Thursday in the second major of the year.
The other South Africans playing this week are Christaan Bezuidenhout, George Coetzee, Dylan Frittelli, Branden Grace, Garrick Higgo, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, Brandon Stone, Erik van Rooyen, and Daniel van Tonder.
